Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Podiatry Surgeon Podiatrist Andrew has published peer reviewed articles in international journals on a wide range of subjects and has presented at local conferences, Fellowship of Podiatric Surgeons and Royal College of Podiatry conferences withAndrew is a Podiatric Surgeon who specialises on treating the foot and its associated structures and splits his time between the NHS and private practice. He treats a wide range of foot conditions surgically and non-surgically. Non-surgical treatments may include imaging, corticosteroid injections, custom made orthotics, immobilisation, exercises, etc. Most recent publications have been regarding the surgical treatment for osteoarthritis of the 1st MTPJ (big toe joint), guided injections and at present he is looking at the outcomes of treatments for Morton’s neuroma. Andrew has gained a further interest in ultrasound, gaining accreditation from CASE (Consortium of the Accreditation of Sonographic Education) which allows him to carry out in house imaging and has led him to assess the success of carrying out ultrasound guided local anaesthetic injections to further improve a patients journey through treatment. Andrew is a lead for the Royal College of Podiatry on PASCOM (Podiatric Audit of Surgery Outcome Measurement) which is a national clinical tool used to drive and improve patient care. Unlike other members of the team, Andrew is not a World Record holder – yet! However, he enjoys cycling and has completed several challenges including the Coast to Coast, Lands End to John O’Groats, Portugal North-South and The Fred Whitton Challenge. This year’s cycling sporting challenges are all in a build up to 2025 when he is taking on the 950 mile London-Edinburgh-London route in 5 days. As well as this, he likes to go walking with his dog in the Peaks and watching his beloved Bradford City.
